Why did I start?

My family decided one summer that it would be fun to try it for once. Dad enjoyed the experience so much that he persuaded us to sign up in school, but in the end, only me and him got a license.

Was it a challenge?

Definitely! Actually, I almost quit while I was in school and it took me a whole year to complete the courses, which is at leat twice as much as it usual takes. I can say that my teacher had a lot of patience with me.

Why do I enjoy it?

First of all, I get to spend more time with my dad. We didn't hang out togheter as much as we do now and, for me, that's enough of a reason. Second of all, I feel free every time I rise up and look around only to see the sky, the clouds and the birds. It's a unique feeling!

Do I intend to compete?

I can't say that I set my mind on that. I don't paraglide frequently enough to gain the experience I need for competition. But if I ever have the time and the chance, why not? It would be a welcomed new experience.

Do I have any memorable experiences?

Yes, I definetly do. Like most of the pilots, actualy. Everybody has a little incident sooner or later and sometimes it can even be fun. I, for example, landed in a tree once. My flying colleagues helped me to get down and it took us about 2 hours to get the paraglider off the branches of the tree. It was a Pine tree and I spent another 2 days cleaning my equipment which was coverd in resin. What a nightmare! I laugh everytime I remember.
